It covers his relationship with Nepalese coworkers as well as other Peace Corps volunteers, frustrations, successes, cultural events experienced, a comparison of ceremonies as performed by Hill and Terai Brahmans of Nepal, and travel. The memoirs contain many photos, some taken at a location restricted to Brahman families negotiating the marriage of their children.
