In 1978 they organized the first Tractorcade wherein thousands of farmers drove their tractors to Washington, D.C. in protest of the Carter Administration and the Farmers Home Administration would stop foreclosures on farms. Again on February 5, 1979, farmers arrived on tractors and held another Tractorcade protest. They occupied the National Mall for several weeks.
